Now that the CGHA had one year under their belt, they hoped to expand their membership. To do this, they needed to move closer to Chicago. The hockey league at Rolling Meadows fit the bill for opportunity, cost, and distance. Spin was thrown into an already established league. They started out slow with 6 straight losses but they later on held their own in this first season.
