Heartland Red Liners Remain Winless After Three Games. Management Looks to Shore Up Porous Defense and Fire Up Wingers to Shoot More.

Game 1 (10/25/14) – The Liners faced off with an old foe, the Snatchers. These opponents scored off the first face-off but the Liners recovered and managed to tie it up late in the first period off TomTom’s off passes from Loko and Evan. The Snatchers regained the lead in the second period but the Liners managed to tie it up with three minutes left in the game off Rocket Richard goal off Doc Seck’s wrist shot. Unfortunately, the Snatchers turned up the heat and scored two more goals within 30 seconds to capture the victory.

Game 2 (11/2/14) – There is not much to say about this matchup against the Whalers who score two goals in the first period, five in the second, and 2 more in the third period. The only goal for the Liners was an early third period empty net slapshot from MK off Loko’s and Morty’s scramble.

Game 3 (11/9/14) – The Liners lined up against the renewed Ice Hawks (AKA Dekes of Hazard). The first period was all Red Liners as Morty got his first goal of the season off assists from Sam the Man and Mutt. Doc Seck skated alone into the Ice Hawks’ zone and lobbed a wristed that bounced off the goalie and into the net. The second period was all Hawks with three unanswered goals. Neither team to find the back of the net in the third period though the Liners had several great changes especially after pulling their goalie. They would fall 3-2.
