It’s that time of the year again to prepare for our Annual Membership Meeting and Board Director elections! The annual membership meeting will take place in the 2nd floor conference room at Center on Halsted from 8-9pm on Monday 12/2.
This year, four of our seven Board positions are open for elections (David Stefanski, Brian Hull, Don Marzolf, and Tom Economou). Anyone interested in voting in this election must be a CGHA member. As a reminder, membership may be granted to any individual that supports the mission and purposes of the organization, and who also pays the annual dues as set by the Board of Directors – which is currently $20 and can be paid on our CGHA website.
If you want to run for an open Board position, then you must submit your candidate bio to Andrew () by Wednesday, November 20th. The election process will then proceed on the following schedule:
Wednesday, November 20th – Candidate Bios Due
Thursday, November 21st – Online Elections Begin
Monday, December 2nd at 7:00pm – Online Elections Close
Monday, December 2nd at 7:00pm – Optional In-Person Anonymous Voting at the Center on Halsted
Monday, December 2nd at 8:00pm – Elected Board Directors are introduced at the Annual CGHA Membership Meeting at the Center on Halsted
Monday, December 28th – Board Directors are sworn into office and Officers are determined by the Board
Other than announcing the results of the Board elections, the Annual Membership Meeting is a great time for us to review everything the CGHA has accomplished over the past year, and also an opportunity for all of us to discuss ideas on how to make our organization even stronger in 2014!
