This week the CGHA hosted our annual membership meeting at Center on Halsted. We want to share some of our prouder moments from 2011 as well as post our minutes from the meeting. So here they are.
-In 2011 the CGHA won the NYC Chelsea Challenge championship
-Market Days Classic Tournament – next is 2013
-We hosted over 120 hockey players from around the world
-We launched a youth floor hockey program at Center on Halsted Floor Hockey Launch with the Blackhawks and Rahm
-Hosted a Learn to Skate
-Participated in high school Gay-Straight Alliance outreach
-CGHA Night at the Wolves
-We started hosting monthly practices with a coach
-Some of our more charitable work includes:
-$3,500 to EQ IL via the Celebrity Pie Toss
-$1,500 to the American Cancer Society via the Walk & Roll
-$250 to the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation

Additionally, we are branding a new team within the CGHA. We have a form that’s live now to submit ideas for a new team name and/or logo. If you have ideas for a team name/logo then please submit them via the form by Monday 4/1. On Tuesday 4/2 we will open an online vote to determine what the new look of the CGHA will be! Voting for the new name/logo will close on Friday 4/6. Our goal is to have new jerseys by our next fundraiser on Friday 4/27.
