Johnny’s Red Liners Back On Winning Track with 8-0 Shutdown of Buffet Boys.

After the tribulations of their first game with a short bench, the Red Liners would have their opponents on the short end this time. The scoring started out slow and steady for the first two periods but then opened wide for the third period as the Boys began to tire out.

It take almost the 10 minute mark in the first period for the first of eight Liners goals to be scored. Senor Cabeza fired a across-the-body wrister into the top shelf of the Buffet net. Baby would get the remaining first period goal during a penalty kill. He picked up a pass from Paulie and beat the Buffet goaltender alone. The Buffet’s goalie stood on his head as the Liners peppered him with shots for the second period. The only one to slip through was a Senor Cabeza’s wrist shot that was deflected up by a Buffet defenseman.

The floodgates of scoring would open up in the third period as the Buffet Boys slowed down. Five more goals would be scored: Dirky wristing from B-hole’s pass. Paulie finding the inside post off Donna’s pass. Judge Jimmie skating unhindered and finding the five hole. B-hole popping in a loose crease puck. The goal is credited to JOR which was debated by the refs.

The guys in red hope to continue their winning ways against the Warriors on Sun, Oct 5 at 10:50pm (JIH West).
