In a rematch of their game two weeks prior, the McFet 95th Red Liners again faced off against the Polar Vortex. In their previous matchup, the backup goalie, Rocket, had stymied the Vortex for the first two periods while the Liners put up two goals after two periods, mainly off Toe. But the Vortex rushed back with 4 unanswered goals in the first five minutes of the third period. But the LIners came back with two more goals of their own off McClain and Toe. The game would end in a tie and go into a shootout. But it would take 13 rounds before the Vortex were declared the winner.
This rematch was different. The Vortex jumped ahead with two goals of their own early in the first period. but the Liners woke up. They will rail out seven unanswered goals from the first to third period. It was a team effort as the offensive pressure became stifling especially in the second period with up to 7 shots on goal in one rush. Toe, B-Hole, Sobo, Eric, and MK ended up with the goals. Assists were spread around to the rest of the team. The Vortex did get 2 more goals in the third period but could not close the gap.
