With their players now returning from off-season training sessions and playing out in Europe, the Heartland Red Liners tried to bounce back from the tough and lopside loss in their first game. The full compliment definitely helped out both the offense and defense as the guys and gal in red kept the scores close until the very end. Big Daddy got the scoring started by popping in a rebound off the cross bar in the first period. Unfortunately, Team Chomicz would notch two of their own. The scoring would start with ThaiLai who popped in a loose puck in the crease. The Chomiczs would come back to regain the lead but Big Daddy would score off a blistering wrister off a breakaway to tie up the game. The Chomicz would pull ahead for good in the third period with two more goals. The Liners would get back one of those goals to pull within one but could not tie it up. While the overall effort was much better, the Liners remain winless after two games. They hope to hop into the winning column at their next game against Butcher’s Dogs on April 27 at 10:10pm.
