n their last game, the North Shore Red Liners hoped to end the season on a high note while introducing a new member, IceBerg. Without Mr. Lee giving a Herculean effort in the net, the score would have been more lopsided as the Liners lose 7-2 against the Meatheads.
The first period had the Heads racking up 4 goals before the Liners could manage their first goal. It would be Twank firing the puck past the Meathead goalie off a pass from Mixy. The second period was a closer affair with the Heads scoring two goals versus the Liners’ single goal. Mr. Lee continued standing on his head while trying to block pucks. One of the D pairs, Teddy with Jayjay, did try to help the forwards with breakaways. But they couldn’t get the puck into the back of the Heads’ net. The third period was also a close affair. Each team would score one goal a piece. The ThaiGuy had his first shot on goal which rebounded to a waiting Mixy who popped it just past the goalie. The third period had no goals from the Liners but there were several scoring attempts by some of the forwards including Woody Rogers and B-hole.
Though it was another loss, it was another learning step for the North Shore Red Liners as a whole. Mr. Lee continued to show streaks of brillance in his goaltending. The defense had problems with clearing the puck but was better now than at the start of the season. The offense continues to be mixed combo of talent that can gel at times. The team continues to welcome new players especially their newest member, Iceberg. They await their first playoff game on Monday, May 20 at 10:40pm.
