The guys and gal in red brought their three-game winning streak into this unexpectedly tough matchup against the Blades of Steel. Their opponents scored early and were ahead 2-1 by the end of the first period. Baby would lead the Liners back into the game with two goals of his own in the second period. The teams would be tied 3-3 after 15 more minutes. With momentum on their side, the Liners kept the pressure on the Blades’ backup goalie for the entire third period and extended their lead by 2 more goals. With two games left, the Liners kept the pressure on the currently first-seeded team, the Rats. Their next game (Thurs, Feb 20 at 11pm, JIH West) will likely be a tough against the 13-5 Immortals. With 6 teams within 4 points of each other, the final seeding for the Liners will not be known until their last game on March 3. Also Dr. Lang has again risen to the top of the goalie stats for the C3 division (for majority playing goalies) with his 12 wins from 17 starts and a 3.0 GAA.
