The Blackwolves played their 3rd game of the series at an early 7:50 AM slot, and faced what looks to be the inevitable Gold medal team.
The LA Blades, with a short bench (at 8 skaters), notched two goals within the first 30 seconds of the game. For the remainder of the game, the Blackwolves were held to 2 shots the entire game.
Blackwolves goalie Keith Halverson was outstanding in net, and was the primary reason the final score (5-0) was as reasonable as it was.
Notable was the fact that the Blackwolves and Halverson stole a point from the LA Blades — 2nd period went scoreless for both teams, allowing the Blackwolves to gain 1-point for the period tie.
Even though the Blackwolves played their best and most determined game of the series, the LA Blades has a team composed of players three levels above any of their competition for this tournament.
Jacobson was an official for this game as well.
