Julien Delvecchio, coming off a 12-game tournament over the weekend, helped out the Chicago Spin in goal, playing for Keith Halverson who was complaining of muscle spasms. Delvecchio secured the shutout for Spin’s fourth win of the season, evening their record at 4 and 4. This was a total team effort where just about everyone was involved in the scoring. The Chicago Spin shut out the Sharks, the first shutout in CGHA history. Larry Zyks and Jeff Boehme both had big nights, scoring 3 points each. Boehme said later after the game, “I’m just glad to get an opportunity to play with this club. These guys showed a lot of team skills tonight, a great bunch of guys.”
