September 2002 – Vernon Hills
Chicago Spin got off to a quick start Monday night in Vernon Hills at the Glacier Rink as they fell just short to the Storm 5-4. 2 quick goals by Thompson and Bulawa got Spin a 2 nothing lead after the first period. They Storm came back with the 2 goals of there own In the 2nd. Bulawa got an another goal early in the 3rd. While all this is happening Halverson once again was stellar in the nets, making all the saves he could see! With just under 2 mins left Spin down 5 – 3 Jacobson gets a pass from Bryan Lind to beat the Storm net minder top shelf. Spin showed a lot of character being only the second game in CGHA history giving the effort they did
