No Kryan’ing in Hockey as McFetridge Gets Third Win in Row in 6-3 Drunkfest Against Chi-town Boozers.

Nothing epitomizes adult rec league hockey than playing at 10pm on a Thursday when you’re trying to sober up. After learning of their opponents for their Thursday night game, the McFet Red Liners decided to roleplay and booze up at home beforehand especially with such a late game. After a slow start, the Liners gradually built up a lead and then put out Chi-town, 6-3.

TheĀ scoring began quick with the first shift in the first period. Conny one timed a cross slot pass from Double B to beat the Boozer’s netminder. But these opponents returned the favor after they slip an erratic puck just under the Dr. Nick’s paddle. Ca$hin then responded with him and Jimmie crashing the net and one of them scoring off a loose puck. The refs were unsure who tapped it in. The Boozers would come out strong in the second period and take the lead, 3-2, with back-to-back goal.

In true Red Liners fashion, the third period comeback began with El Grande’s wrister sniped the upper part of the Boozer net. Kryan got the lead for the Liners for good off a breakaway from his blue line and popped the puck past the mesmerized goalie. Conny notched his second goal of the game after a rebound from Double B’s point wrister. El Grande would put the icing on the victory from an empty net wrister off Toe’s rebounded shot.

With the McFet regular season only having three games remaining, the guys and gals in red take an extended break. Their next game is against the Barons on Aug 18th at 9pm. They hope to finish strong and carry that momentum into the playoffs.
