There once a team all in red.
Who practiced until they were dead.
But the Snatchers were no laugh,
A game with them in an hour and a half,
A tough matchup they were about to dread.
The Liners started out with a burst.
Marty used a play that he rehearsed.
His assist was on point.
To Toe he did anoint,
The skater to get the Liners on board first.
The Snatchers came down with speed.
A fast skater started to lead.
With traffic in the slot,
Rocket missed the shot.
The puck was just easily buried.
The Liners tried harder in period two.
But a power play later did ensue.
Toe skated in an arc,
and backhanded to the mark,
where it was onetimed by Andrew.
Snatchers needed to tie the game.
The offense they were able to reclaim.
A shot from the blue line was clad
with eyes that bounced off of pads
And scored with no one to blame.
This big game ended up in a tie.
4-4 Overtime they did try.
