Red Liners get Cracked by Nutty Squirrels in 6-3 Loss. Now on Two Game Losing Streak.

Coming off a tough loss where the Red Liners let DVDA back into the game, the guys and gal in red hope to come out strong for this latest matchup. Unfortunately, they were upstaged but an upstart on the Squirrel team. The Liners were able to score a goal for each of the three periods but this unknown, unregistered, and unidentifiable player managed to score five of the Nutty Squirrels’ six goals, two in the first and three in the second, with a wrist shot with blazing fast speed and laser accuracy. The substitute Liners’ goalie was no match for it. In the end, the Liners would fall for their second straight game and have fallen to third place (losing in a tie break with the second placed Pirates). They have secured at least a third place finish for the playoffs. Projections indicate the Pirates will win their game against the Loose Cannons. Uncle Puck should also win unless the Nutty Squirrels again bring up their hotshot unregistered player to compete. In those scenarios, the Red Liners will meet up with the sixth seed on Aug 19.
