Quick Game Recaps for April 27 through May 7

April 27: Heartland Red Liners continued with their growing pains as they fell to the Butcher’s Dogs 4-0. Unfortunately, the team also lost Marooney for several weeks with a mild should dislocation after several Dogs fell on him in front of the Liners’ net.

April 30: Johnny’s Red Liners barrelled through the C3 division with their third straight win against the Warriors, 8-1. After a slow first period (only 1 goal scored by the Liners), the scoring exploded in the second period with four unanswered goals (two within 24 seconds) followed by two more unanswered goals in the third. They are the only undefeated team in the C3 North section.

May 3: Heartland Red Liners came out stronger against Jokerit as evident by the five goals scored. However, they also gave up 8 goals in the tough loss. They remain tied for last place in the Western Conference with the Polar Vortex (0-4).

May 6: McFet Howard Red Liners got back on the ice after a two week hiatus and met the Barons. But neither team could break the 1-1 tie after 3 periods. After two complete 3 round shootouts, the score remained tie. The game was then called a tie.

May 7: McFet 95th Red Liners also came back from a two hiatus and met up with Goose Island. After a slow start and giving up one goal, the Liners tied it up off Twank’s crosspart slapshot. The Liners would give up a second goal in the 3rd period, the eventual game winner. Each of their three losses have been in 1 goal games.
